1. The film begins with our protagonist IRIS (33, could’ve been a rockstar)—a Head of Technology at a hot Silicon Valley startup. When her mentor and father figure suddenly dies, Iris mobilizes all her resources to find the true reason for his demise. Through coding, hacking, psychology and some help from a friend in the police, Iris finds the man who performs assisted suicide, responsible for her mentor’s death.

2. When she does, her only goal is to collect enough evidence and bring this man, VIC (35, modern-day Viking), to justice. She fakes her terminal cancer and records Vic’s “confession”. But, when she learns that his true reason is helping only terminally-ill, changes her perspective and protects him with an alibi. Having lost her own father to suicide, Iris understands Vic’s intent to reduce suffering of the patients’ families. This sudden shift leads to betrayals, work conflicts, and burnt bridges with Iris’ friend in the police, RACHEL. In addition, the partnership between Iris and Vic catches the attention of the San Francisco drug lords who want Vic to work for them as a hitman, which leads to putting both of their lives at risk.

3. Even though Rachel’s trust in Iris is tarnished, she tracks her caller ID when Iris is kidnapped and rescues her and Vic from a shootout. With Iris’ help, the police track down the drug ring in the city and arrest its members. Iris and Vic decide to stay together and help each other heal, as well as start a company to help people on the edge of taking their own life.
